Application Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the BA in Spanish, students must have completed four years of high school Spanish or the equivalent. Students must also have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. In addition, students must submit a personal statement and a writing sample. The personal statement should discuss the student's interest in Spanish and their plans for the future. The writing sample should be a sample of the student's writing in Spanish. Students who are not native speakers of Spanish must also submit a TOEFL score of 550 or higher. The BA in Spanish is a four-year program that leads to a bachelor's degree. The program includes courses in Spanish grammar, literature, culture, and history. Students also have the opportunity to study abroad in a Spanish-speaking country. The BA in Spanish is a good preparation for careers in teaching, translation, business, and government.
