Application Requirements

To be eligible to apply to the MA in European, Russian and Eurasian Studies, you must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a minimum of 3.0 GPA. You must also have a strong academic background in history, political science, economics, or a related field. In addition, you must demonstrate proficiency in at least one of the following languages: English, French, German, Russian, or Spanish. The MA program is offered in both full-time and part-time formats. The full-time program takes two years to complete, while the part-time program takes four years. The program consists of a core curriculum of courses in European, Russian, and Eurasian history, politics, economics, and culture. Students also have the opportunity to choose elective courses in their area of interest. In addition to coursework, students must complete a research paper and a thesis. The MA program is designed to prepare students for careers in academia, government, business, and non-profit organizations.
