FAQs

  • Does Carnegie Mellon give full scholarships to international students? Carnegie Mellon doesn't offer financial aid to international students. If you're an international student who plans to enroll at Carnegie Mellon, you and your family must plan to pay the total cost of attendance.

  • Yes. Note that in most cases you will need to complete separate applications for each, so be sure to look closely at each program’s application requirements for any differences – do not assume that you can submit the exact same materials for each.

  • If you send unofficial transcripts with your application, we will review them. However, if you’re offered admission, you will need to produce official transcripts prior to enrollment. For your Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score report to be official, it must be sent to the ETIM graduate admissions office by ETS.
