Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants must also have taken the GRE General Test and the GRE Subject Test in Mechanical Engineering. The minimum score for the GRE General Test is 155 on each section and the minimum score for the GRE Subject Test in Mechanical Engineering is 160. Applicants must also submit three letters of recommendation from professors or other professionals who can attest to their academic ability and potential for success in graduate school. In addition, applicants must submit a personal statement that describes their reasons for wanting to study mechanical engineering at Carnegie Mellon University and their goals for the future.
