Our Finance MSc is a top-ranked finance master's course. This postgraduate finance course (formerly Finance and Management MSc) is ranked as a UK top 10 and world top 50 Finance Master’s in International Business Rankings.


The course provides you with a solid grounding in finance and investment and offers extensive training in the relevant tools and techniques and how to apply them practically in the global finance workplace.


The course comprises ten core modules and two elective modules (choice out of five). This enables you to tailor the programme of study to suit your personal career plan.

Throughout the course you will have access to a comprehensive collection of resources including Bloomberg terminal, BoardEx, Capital IQ, CRSP, Datastream, Eikon, EBSCO, Factiva, FAME, Financial Times, ORBIS Bank Focus, ProQuest, Science Direct, and SDC Platinum. You will use real-world, international case studies to support your learning. The culmination of the learning process is your opportunity to undertake research for your individual thesis.

  • Once you have submitted your application you will receive an email acknowledgement that it has been safely received. The admissions team will then evaluate your application and check it is complete, before sending it to an academic decision maker for your chosen course. This will usually happen within 5 working days from submission of your application, although it can take longer during busy periods. If your application is incomplete, or we need any additional information or documentation to evaluate your application we will be in touch by email. Once the academic decision maker has confirmed a decision to admissions on your application, we will notify you by email.

  • Cranfield University uses a system called CAS Shield to manage the CAS process. We will contact you by email once the course start date is less than 6 months away and your application has progressed to the point where the CAS can be processed. The email will confirm that an account has been created for you in CAS Shield and you will be able to log in to the system to start completing the information we need to issue your CAS. Please note that to be eligible to start the CAS process you must have: accepted your course offer paid the tuition fee deposit (where applicable) met all conditions of your offer You may also be asked to provide evidence of your finances to study in the UK. This is to ensure that your finances will meet UKVI visa requirements. If you are required to provide these documents, you will be able to do this securely by uploading them in CAS Shield. You will be able to log into CAS Shield to track progress towards getting your CAS. Once you have received your CAS you should check all the information carefully. If you believe there is an error in the CAS document you must not use the CAS number but should contact admissions immediately for further advice.

  • This is your opportunity to make an impression and demonstrate that you can succeed on your chosen course. You should outline your academic achievements, any skills and experience attained outside an academic setting, as well as any other information you feel is relevant to support your application. You should also explain why you want to study at Cranfield and your motivation for choosing the course you are applying for. Once you have submitted your application you will receive email confirmation that it has been safely received. You will receive a further email, usually within a week of submitting your application, to confirm your username and password. This will allow you to access our applicant portal, EVE, through which you will be able to: view your application and personal details, check the status of your application, upload documents, if required, in support of your application, update your contact details, withdraw your application (prior to receiving a decision), contact admissions for any query on your application.
