• How does the selection procedure work?

  

  After the application deadline, the selection committee will make a first selection based on the received electronic applications. If you are selected, you will then receive an invitation for a personal interview. Final decisions will be made shortly after the interviews. Please refrain from any inquiries about the status of your application until at least four weeks after the application deadline.

• Do you accept applications from the field of engineering/mathematics/statistics?

  

  Yes, provided you have a sufficient background in economics or business studies.

• Which documents do I need?

  

  You will need to provide the following documents with your application: Motivation letter (max. 2 pages): this should state your motivation for applying to the program and should include a short outline of your major research interests; Detailed curriculum vitae (without photograph); Copies of academic transcripts and other certificates; Two letters of recommendation by academic referees; GRE scores (institution code 0096); and IELTS or TOEFL scores if applicable.

• How can I apply to the DIW Graduate Center (GC)?

  

  The next application phase (for 2025 intake) will start on October 15, 2024. Until then, no applications will be considered. Application is done online via our application portal (the link to the portal will be made available only during application period).
