Essay Question
Question 1
The essays are an important part of your Master of Business Analytics application because they give you the opportunity to tell the Admissions Committee more about yourself...to share more of your story and aspirations. Please complete all the required essays below and follow the word limits provided. Your essays should be written in 10- or 12-point, Arial font and double-spaced; please do not include the essay title on the page. Upload your essay answers, numbered and in order, as one pdf document. What are your short- & long-term professional goals and how do you think a MSBA will help you achieve these goals? (300 word limit) How did you arrive where you are today? Tell us about what or who has motivated you and shaped your decisions to date. (300 word limit) Describe an important global issue or innovation (current or historical) that particularly interests you and explain how it will become increasingly important to the world at large. (200 word limit) Video essay: Telling your story in the written essays is an important part of the application process, but we also want to hear you tell some of your story. The video essay lets every candidate talk to the Admissions Committee and we enjoy getting to know you through the "small talk" questions that are integrated into the online application. Optional: If there is an important part of your story missing from your application (e.g., unexplained gaps in school or work experience, choice of recommenders, academic probation issues), please use this section to provide a brief explanation. Please use bullets if you need to address more than one topic.

FAQs
All students who are admitted to our program have been interviewed. We offer in-person interviews for those who are local, but most often interview by a web-based tool similar to Skype.
Your GMAT/GRE score is only one of the components we consider when making an admission decision. We look at the candidate as a whole person. However, with that said, our average GMAT is currently 715. What we are particularly paying close attention to is your quantitative score, so if your score is below 680, but your quantitative score is good, please reach out to us to discuss. You can send us an email.
Yes. Your request to your recommenders can be sent prior to submitting your application. Once you log into your application, fill out the recommender section and then select "notify" for each recommender. Your recommender will be notified of your request via email. Please tell them to expect the email and to check their spam box if they do not see it within a day.
Yes, we will accept scanned unofficial transcripts for evaluative purposes. Please upload all transcripts to the application with your essays and résumé. If you are admitted to the program you will be required to submit official transcripts with your enrollment deposit.
The total cost for the full-time MSBA program includes: A non-refundable deposit (that is credited toward your tuition) Program tuition Mandatory student fees (including: transcript fee - first semester only, activity fees, rec and athletic fees, and mental health & counseling fees) Additional costs may include: Housing Parking Books Health insurance* *Students are required to have health insurance. Emory University offers a good plan through Aetna for those seeking a reasonable policy. If a student is already covered on a parent/spouse's insurance, they are required to complete a waiver prior to fall orientation
The MSBA begins in July each year. This is a very intense, full-time program, so it will be necessary for students to arrive to Atlanta early to get settled in before starting the program.
No work experience is required for our full-time MS in Business Analytics. The typical average years of work experience for a cohort is 2 years. While some students will have work experience, others in the classroom may have no prior work experience outside of internships.
We will consider applicants who hold this type of degree. However, given the highly competitive nature of our applicant pool, applicants with significant work experience or additional education beyond the three-year degree are viewed as more competitive.
