  • A PhD degree will take at least four years, if not longer. Four to six years is a reasonable estimate for the range of time. The average at UT Dallas CS is perhaps 4.5 years.

  • For the purposes of application review, only a PDF copy of the credentials should be submitted online. Official, sealed credentials will be requested only from admitted applicants intending to enroll.

  • PhD graduate programs are not required to submit GRE scores. GRE scores will be considered, if provided, but are not required. This GRE score waiver only applies to doctoral applicants, and not to masters program applicants. Masters program applicants are still required to submit GRE scores, unless a graduate of UIC.
