To be eligible for admission to the School of Music, applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and meet the following minimum requirements: * A grade of C or better in four units of English, three units of mathematics, three units of science, and three units of social studies. * A grade of C or better in one unit of music theory. * A grade of C or better in one unit of music history. * A grade of C or better in one unit of music performance. In addition to the minimum requirements, applicants are encouraged to have a strong academic record and to participate in extracurricular activities that demonstrate their interest in music. All applicants must submit an application form, official transcripts from all high schools and colleges attended, a letter of recommendation from a music teacher, and a portfolio of their musical work.
