Scholarships
King’s Foundations will be awarding a prize of £4,000 for up to ten students starting on a King’s International Foundation Programme at King’s College London.
The prize is given in two parts, £2,000 toward the tuition fee of the International Foundation and £2,000 toward the first-year tuition fee for undergraduate study at King’s.
To apply, you must hold an offer for King’s Foundations and submit a 1-minute video entitled ‘Why my future begins at King’s’. Winners will be chosen by a panel.
The application deadline is 8th April 2024.
King’s International Foundation Programme is a challenging year of study which allows students, who meet the conditions of their offer, to progress to undergraduate study at King’s College London.
In recognition of the hard work undertaken in order to meet those offer conditions, all students progressing to undergraduate study at King’s receive a scholarship equivalent to 10% of their first year’s tuition fee.
You don’t have to apply, just enrol on your undergraduate degree and the scholarship will be applied to your tuition fee.

For most courses work experience is not generally required and cannot usually be taken in lieu of academic qualifications, but any relevant work experience could add weight to your application. You can provide full details of your work experience in the Employment section of the application form or in your personal statement if this is relevant to the course you are applying to. Please note that some courses - for example some offered by the Dickson Poon School of Law and the Department of Education & Professional Studies - do have work experience as an entry requirement, and this will be listed in the online prospectus where relevant.
- Yes you can apply for more than one course. You may be required to pay multiple applications fees for each programme. If you receive offers for both you will only be able to accept one of these. Once you have completed an online application you can click on “new application” and create another application for a different course. You cannot, however, make more than one application for the same course in an admissions cycle. If you're applying for a Research course, you will need to complete a new Research proposal for each application.
- A Bachelor's degree with a high (minimum of 65%) 2:1 honours (or international equivalent) in Computer Science or another relevant quantitative discipline (such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Natural Science, Electronic Engineering, General Engineering, Operations Research, or a joint degree in two such subjects)
- No, GRE is not required.
- If you receive an offer for this programme, you will be required to pay a non-refundable deposit to secure your place. Deposit payments are credited towards the total tuition fee payment. The Home deposit is £500. The International deposit is £2000. If you receive an offer before January, payment is due within two months of receiving the offer. If you receive an offer between 1 January and 31 March, payment is due within one month of receiving the offer. If you receive an offer between 1 April and 15 July, payment is due within two weeks of receiving the offer. If you receive an offer between 16 July and 15 August, payment is due within one week of receiving the offer. If you receive an offer from 16 August onwards, payment is due within three days of receiving the offer. If you are a current King’s student in receipt of the King's Living Bursary this academic year you are not required to pay a deposit to secure your place on the programme.
