Application Requirements

To be admitted to the B.Ed. in Visual Arts Education program, applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and complete at least 12 hours of college-level coursework in the following areas: English composition, literature, mathematics, science, and social studies. Applicants must also submit a portfolio of their artwork and a statement of purpose explaining why they want to become a visual arts educator. The portfolio should include a variety of work samples, including paintings, drawings, sculptures, and other forms of art. The statement of purpose should be no more than two pages long and should discuss the applicant's interest in visual arts education, their goals for the future, and their reasons for choosing Liberty University. Applicants who are not admitted to the B.Ed. in Visual Arts Education program may be considered for admission to the B.A. in Visual Arts program.
