Eligibility Criteria

A Bachelor (Hons) degree or its equivalent in a quantitative science (e.g. mathematics, statistics and physics), engineering or computing science.
A candidate whose medium of undergraduate instruction is not English must provide one of the following:
Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) – minimum score is 85.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) – minimum overall score is 6.0.
Referee Reports, Personal Statement and GRE Reports are not required for application to the programme. Internship certificates are optional.

The candidature of the DSML is from 1 year to 2 years for full-time students. For part-time students, the minimum candidature is 1 year while the maximum candidature is 2 years. There are a handful of full-time students who complete the programme in 1 year, which means that they have to take 5 courses in each semester
The programme may roll over unsuccessful applications from early admission for further review at regular admission
TOEFL or IELTS test ascertains a candidate’s English language proficiency and is necessary if English is not your native tongue and/or the medium of university instruction is not completely in English.
The MDSML programme does not provide scholarships to both local and international students.
The amount of money in the bank account should be sufficient to cover the tuition fees, miscellaneous fees and living expenses for your entire candidature in Singapore. Please refer to the programme website at https://www.math.nus.edu.sg/cdsml/ms-dsml/dsml-prospective-students/ to find out more about the application, tuition and miscellaneous fees charges. As there are many variables such as the rental fees and food expenses in the living expenses category, we are unable to advise you on the specific amount that you should have (in your bank account).
Students are expected to pay full tuition fee, payable in instalments over 2 regular semesters for full-time study and 4 regular semesters for part time study. SC/SPR students are also eligible to receive course subsidies for SkillsFuture Singapore funded modular courses.
