• 

  You cannot work while you are a student at NYFA. You must have the funds to support yourself for the duration of your studies. We do not offer on-campus employment. If you complete a conservatory or degree program, you will be eligible to apply for Optional Practical Training (OPT). Please see the next question regarding OPT.

• Do you offer short-term programs?

  

  NYFA offers 1,3,4,6,8, and 12 week and weekend workshops, as well as teen and youth summer camps and after school programs of varying lengths. • What is the minimum age requirement to attend NYFA?

  

  While there is no age restriction, a high school diploma or the equivalent is required for the Academy’s adult programs (and Bachelor’s Degree for MFA programs). NYFA also offers summer camps and weekend workshops for teens (14-17), and kids (10-13 years old).

• How long does it take to get accepted?

  

  Once you submit all of your admissions requirements, you will be notified with the admissions results within 2-3 weeks.
