Application Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the Music Education program, students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and a minimum GPA of 3.0 in all music courses. Students must also have completed the following courses with a grade of C or better: Music Theory I, Music Theory II, Music History I, Music History II, and Ear Training I. In addition, students must have completed at least one year of piano or organ instruction. Students who do not meet these requirements may be admitted to the program on a provisional basis. Provisional students must complete all of the required courses with a grade of C or better within two years of admission. If students do not meet this requirement, they will be dismissed from the program.
