  • TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo English test scores are valid for only two years (at the time the recommendation for admission is received at the OGSPS).

  • Each academic department sets its own admission requirements; therefore, some departments have a minimum GPA requirement and others do not. The Office of the Vice Provost for Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Scholars (OGSPS) requires all students to possess a minimum of a 3.0/4.0 GPA (A=4.0) in order to be admitted without conditions. To determine if your program of interest has a GPA requirement above the OGSPS's minimum requirement, visit the Graduate Program Requirements Web page.

  • For new students beginning on or after July 1, 2024, the Purdue University in Indianapolis rates will be the same as those for Purdue West Lafayette. For more information, visit the Bursar Web page.

  • Long term, students will have the option of taking courses at either location, and there will be a variety of courses offered at each location. During the first year of Purdue University in Indianapolis, specific course offerings and flexibility are being determined.

  • Yes, the requirements, outcomes, and expectations will be exactly the same.

  • The degrees are the same, but the location of the delivery of that degree is different. There may also be some distinctions in areas of focus.
