Application Requirements

To be admitted to the Master of Arts in German program, students must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a major in German or a related field. Applicants must also have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. In addition, students must submit a statement of purpose, a resume, and two letters of recommendation. The statement of purpose should explain why the student is interested in the program and what they hope to achieve after graduation. The resume should list the student's academic and professional experience. The letters of recommendation should be from professors or other professionals who can attest to the student's academic ability and potential for success in the program. Students who are admitted to the program will be required to take a placement test to determine their level of German proficiency. The test will be administered in the fall semester before the start of classes. Students who do not score at the required level will be required to take additional language courses before they can begin their coursework in the program.
