Application Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the BA in English with Teacher Education Preparation, applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and meet the following requirements: * Applicants must have completed at least 12 credit hours of English courses, including ENG 101 and ENG 102. * Applicants must have a minimum score of 21 on the ACT English test or a minimum score of 550 on the SAT Critical Reading test. * Applicants must have a minimum score of 4 on the AP English Language and Composition exam. In addition to the above requirements, applicants must also submit a personal statement and a resume. The personal statement should discuss the applicant's interest in teaching English and their plans for the future. The resume should list the applicant's academic achievements and extracurricular activities. All applicants are encouraged to apply early, as the program is competitive. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
