Application Requirements
To be admitted to the College of Music, applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and meet the following minimum requirements: a composite ACT score of 20 or higher, or a combined SAT score of 950 or higher; a minimum GPA of 2.5; and a minimum score of 600 on the SAT Subject Test in Music Theory. Applicants must also submit a portfolio of their musical work and a letter of recommendation from a music teacher. The College of Music also offers a music audition program for students who are interested in pursuing a degree in music education. Students who are accepted into the music audition program must submit a video of themselves performing a musical selection and a written essay about their musical interests and goals. The College of Music reserves the right to admit students who do not meet the minimum requirements if they have exceptional musical talent.
