Application Requirements
To be eligible for admission to the Biology major, students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 in all college-level coursework attempted, including all prerequisite courses. Students must also complete the following prerequisite courses with a grade of C or better: General Chemistry I, General Chemistry II, General Biology I, General Biology II, and Calculus I. In addition, students must have a minimum score of 21 on the ACT or 1000 on the SAT. Students who do not meet these requirements may be admitted to the Biology major on a provisional basis. Provisionally admitted students must complete all prerequisite courses with a grade of C or better and maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.5 in all college-level coursework attempted. Students who do not meet these requirements will be dismissed from the major.
