To be eligible for admission to the Recreation Therapy program, applicants must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants must also have completed coursework in the following areas: anatomy and physiology, psychology, sociology, and statistics. In addition, applicants must have experience working with people with disabilities or chronic illnesses. The Recreation Therapy program at the University of Utah is competitive, and only a limited number of students are admitted each year. Applicants are encouraged to apply early.
