To be admitted to the Master of Science in Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) program, applicants must have a bachelor's degree in materials science, engineering, or a closely related field. Applicants must also have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. In addition, applicants must submit GRE scores (General Test and Subject Test in Chemistry). The MSE program also requires applicants to have strong research and communication skills. Applicants are encouraged to have experience in materials science research, as well as experience in writing and presenting research results. The MSE program is highly competitive, and admission is based on a holistic review of all application materials.
