Applicants should have a good honours degree (2:1 or above) in a biological science subject, or a related subject such as ecology, environmental science, or conservation biology. Applicants with a degree in a non-biological subject may be considered if they have relevant work experience or postgraduate qualifications. Applicants must also have a strong research interest in biodiversity, evolution, or conservation. They should be able to demonstrate their ability to conduct independent research and to communicate their findings effectively. The MRes programme is highly competitive, and only a limited number of places are available. Applicants are therefore advised to submit their applications as early as possible.
