Application Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Accounting program, you must have completed the following high school courses with a minimum grade of 70% (or equivalent): English, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Economics. You must also have a minimum overall average of 80% (or equivalent). If you do not meet these requirements, you may be considered for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce (General) program, which offers a similar curriculum but does not require a specific high school background. In addition to the above requirements, you must also submit a personal statement and a resume. Your personal statement should provide an overview of your academic and extracurricular achievements, as well as your reasons for wanting to study accounting. Your resume should list your work experience, volunteer experience, and any other relevant information. The University of Alberta also offers a number of scholarships and bursaries for students who are interested in studying accounting.
