Bachelor’s Degree

Applicants must have earned a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry (or its approved equivalent) from an ABET-accredited institution (international students will have a separate admission’s guideline). Applicants must attain an undergraduate record that satisfies the standards established by the UCLA Graduate Division.

Disciplines

Applicants must have at least an undergraduate major in various engineering disciplines, mathematics, physics or a closely related field. A scholastic average of B (3.0 on a 4.0 scale) or better (or its equivalent if the letter grade system is not used) is required.

Open to All

The program is open to all applicants, including early-career professionals in STEM. Prior work experience in the area of study is not mandatory.

Application Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Engineering in Engineering - Artificial Intelligence program, applicants must have a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicants must also have strong programming skills and experience in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. The program also requires applicants to take the GRE General Test and the GRE Subject Test in Computer Science.
