Applicants must have completed NCEA Level 3 with University Entrance, or an equivalent qualification. Applicants must also have a strong academic record in mathematics, statistics and economics. In addition to the academic requirements, applicants must also demonstrate an interest in taxation and accounting. This can be shown through work experience, extracurricular activities or participation in relevant clubs or societies. Applicants who are successful in gaining admission to the BSc (Taxation and Accounting) will be required to complete a number of core courses in mathematics, statistics, economics and accounting. They will also be required to complete a number of elective courses in taxation and accounting. The BSc (Taxation and Accounting) is a four-year degree program. Students who successfully complete the program will be awarded a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Taxation and Accounting.
