Applicants should have a good honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, such as Classics, Ancient History, English, or Modern Languages. Applicants with a degree in a non-relevant subject may be considered, but they will need to demonstrate a strong interest in Latin Studies and a good knowledge of the language. In addition to academic qualifications, applicants will be expected to have a strong research interest and to be able to demonstrate their ability to work independently and to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
