The MSF Program provides a strong foundation in the principles and practice of modern finance. The program introduces the latest concepts and issues affecting today’s financial professionals.
STEM-designation: The program is STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) designated for its focus on advanced quantitative skills.
Fast-paced and flexible: Thirty-two credit hour degree program that can be completed in one year of full-time study or more than one year of part-time study. Students may be assigned additional prerequisite coursework depending upon their academic background.*

The time it will take to receive an admission decision will vary by program. Unfortunately, the Office of Admissions cannot provide a timeline for when a decision can be expected.
Applicants must have earned at least a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college in the United States or a comparable degree from a recognized institution of higher learning abroad by the proposed term of admission at UIC.
The Graduate College requires an undergraduate grade point average of at least 2.75 (A= 4.00) for the final 60 semester (90 quarter) hours of baccalaureate study (typically around two years), and all post-baccalaureate coursework.
