Application Requirements

Applicants should have a good honours degree (or equivalent) in law or a related subject. Applicants with a non-law degree may be considered, but they will be required to demonstrate a strong academic background in law and/or a strong interest in international criminal justice. Applicants must also have a good level of English. The University of Kent offers a range of pre-sessional English language courses to help prepare students for their studies. In addition to the academic requirements, applicants will also be required to submit a personal statement and a reference. The personal statement should provide an overview of your academic and professional experience, as well as your reasons for wanting to study law at the University of Kent. The reference should be from a lecturer or tutor who can attest to your academic ability and potential. All applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The University of Kent reserves the right to make offers based on factors other than academic merit, such as personal circumstances and career goals.
