Application Requirements

Applicants must have a four-year bachelor's degree with a major in linguistics or a related field. Applicants must also have a GPA of at least 3.0. The GRE is not required for admission to the MA program in linguistics. However, applicants with a GRE score of 150 or higher in verbal reasoning and 150 or higher in quantitative reasoning may be given preference. Applicants must also submit two letters of recommendation from professors who know their academic work well. The application deadline is February 15 for fall admission and October 15 for spring admission.
