Miami Herbert’s STEM-designated Master of Science in Finance helps shape you into a creative thinker and a global financial leader as you develop your analytical and quantitative skills. Our world-class finance faculty come from many different countries and hold PhDs from the most prestigious universities in the world, as well as practical experience on Wall Street and in major global financial markets.
Our flexible and innovative curriculum allows you to master the world of finance in a real-world setting, making investment decisions through the Student Managed Investment Fund.
Students can customize their experience by selecting course clusters, such as Financial Analytics, Fintech, Corporate Finance, Investment & Portfolio Management, International Finance, Psychology of Financial Markets, Real Estate Investment, Sustainable Finance, and Wealth Management.
The Master of Science Finance program is available to all majors. Non-finance students will receive the finance training they need through our unique Bridge to MSF program. The program can be completed in 10 months, with courses offered Monday through Thursday.

Scholarships
All admitted applicants are considered for merit-based scholarship opportunities, and candidates are informed of the scholarship decision at the point of admission. The assessment criteria are the same as those used for the admissions decision but at a more competitive level. There is no separate application process for these scholarship awards. International students are not eligible to receive federal financial aid, which includes Stafford and Perkins loans. However, international students may qualify for private loans if they have a U.S. co-signer.

Miami Herbert offers a limited number of application fee waivers. To qualify, applicants are encouraged to register and attend one of our virtual informational events in which participants gain time-saving tips for completing the application and are eligible to receive an application fee waiver code. Please check our latest e-newsletter for an upcoming workshop or email [email protected]. Be sure to include your full name, date of birth, and BusinessCAS ID number if you have already started your application.
Please submit all documents related to transcripts through the BusinessCAS portal. You are encouraged to upload your unofficial transcripts in BusinessCAS to expedite your application evaluation while we wait for your required official transcripts. Transcripts to be requested include any coursework done at community colleges, junior colleges, extension programs, post-secondary schools, colleges, universities and other institutions. Miami Herbert’s Graduate Business Programs office no longer receives transcripts, diplomas or evaluations. Please request official transcripts to be sent to: BusinessCAS Transcripts Processing Center P.O. Box 9221 Watertown, MA 02471 Applicants who received a degree from an international university should follow all instructions within the BusinessCAS portal. Request official evaluation of transcripts from all previously attended non-U.S. institutions to be sent to BusinessCAS using World Education Services (WES) within the application. Evaluations must include the photocopy of the diploma and an official certified English translation of both the transcripts and the diploma. In addition, an official transcript in a sealed envelope from the attended university must be included, otherwise, WES will not consider the transcripts official.
The enrollment fee of $2,200 is required in order to save an admitted applicant’s seat in the respective program of acceptance. The fee supports graduate student services and is not applied toward tuition. It is non-refundable and non-transferable.
