To be admitted to the University of Mississippi School of Engineering, applicants must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 and a minimum SAT score of 1100 or ACT score of 23. Applicants must also have completed the following courses: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Chemistry, and Physics. In addition, applicants must submit a personal statement and letters of recommendation from two teachers. The School of Engineering also offers a pre-engineering program for students who are not sure if they want to major in engineering. The pre-engineering program allows students to take introductory engineering courses and explore different engineering disciplines before making a decision about their major.
