Application Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the University of Mississippi School of Social Work, applicants must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 2.75. Applicants must also have completed at least 12 hours of undergraduate coursework in the social sciences, including sociology, psychology, and social work. In addition, applicants must submit a personal statement, two letters of recommendation, and a resume. The School of Social Work also requires applicants to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and to achieve a minimum score of 150 on the verbal section and 150 on the quantitative section. Applicants who do not meet the minimum GRE score may be considered for admission on a case-by-case basis.
