Application Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the University of New Hampshire, students must have a high school diploma or equivalent and meet the minimum requirements for the College of Liberal Arts. In addition, students must submit official transcripts from all high schools and colleges attended, as well as SAT or ACT scores. The College of Liberal Arts also requires that students submit a personal statement and two letters of recommendation. Students who are interested in the BS in Statistics program must also have a strong background in mathematics and science. Applicants are encouraged to take AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, and AP Physics C in high school. In addition, students should have a strong understanding of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. The BS in Statistics program is highly competitive, and admission is based on a number of factors, including academic achievement, extracurricular activities, and personal statements. Students who are admitted to the program will have the opportunity to learn from world-renowned faculty and conduct research in cutting-edge areas of statistics.
