Applicants should have a good honours degree (2:1 or above) in a relevant subject, such as physics, astronomy, astrophysics, mathematics or engineering. Applicants with a 2:2 degree may be considered, but they will need to demonstrate that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed on the course. In addition to academic qualifications, applicants will also be expected to have a strong interest in physics and astronomy, and to be able to work independently and as part of a team.
