Applicants should have a good honours degree (or equivalent) in a subject relevant to the course. Applicants with a degree in a subject other than politics or philosophy should demonstrate a strong interest in political theory and be able to show evidence of their ability to engage with theoretical material. Applicants should have a good level of written and spoken English. All applicants are required to submit a personal statement and two academic references. The personal statement should explain why you are interested in the course and what you hope to achieve by studying it. You should also discuss your academic interests and any relevant work experience or extracurricular activities. The references should be from academic staff who can comment on your academic ability and potential for postgraduate study. Applicants may also be invited to attend an interview.
