The Chandra Family Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering aims to provide a graduate program that produces exceptional graduates through a comprehensive education and access to world-class research facilities, advancing diverse subfields within electrical and computer engineering. Texas ECE offers an MSE degree in 8 academic tracks, with opportunities for interdisciplinary work at The University of Texas at Austin. Most graduate students engage in state-of-the-art research with faculty researchers. Completing the MSE program typically requires four long semesters, and students may subsequently apply to the PhD program, though acceptance is not guaranteed.
