Application Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the Industrial Engineering program, you must have a strong academic background in mathematics, science, and engineering. You must also have a strong interest in problem solving and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The University of Toronto requires that all applicants have a minimum average of 80% in their high school courses. Applicants who have completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) are also considered. The IBDP requires that students earn a minimum score of 38 points. In addition to academic requirements, the University of Toronto also considers extracurricular activities, leadership experience, and personal statements when making admissions decisions. Applicants are encouraged to apply early to the Industrial Engineering program, as the program is competitive. The deadline to apply for admission to the University of Toronto is January 15th.
