To be eligible to apply to the Child Care program, you must have a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent. You must also have completed the following courses: English 12, Math 11, Science 11, and Social Studies 11. In addition, you must have a minimum of 24 months of paid or volunteer experience working with children. If you do not meet all of the admission requirements, you may be eligible to apply for admission to the Child Care Bridging Program. The Bridging Program is designed to help you prepare for the Child Care program by providing you with the necessary academic and practical skills. To be eligible to apply to the Bridging Program, you must have a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent and have completed the following courses: English 12, Math 11, Science 11, and Social Studies 11. You must also have a minimum of 12 months of paid or volunteer experience working with children. The Child Care Bridging Program is offered on a full-time basis and takes one year to complete. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be eligible to apply to the Child Care program.
