The Master of Business Analytics at University of Wollongong is designed to prepare you with the essential skills to undertake real world Business Analytics tasks on big data business problems.


The Master of Business Analytics is designed to prepare graduates with business analytics skills and develop strategies for dealing with massive business data which is increasingly common in business organisations today.

You will learn how to:

  • apply innovative solutions to business analytics problems
  • derive accurate conclusions and business decisions based on descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics using quantitative and qualitative analyses  
  • communicate and present complex information effectively
  • leverage a broad understanding of accounting and financial management, marketing, organisational behaviour and management and operations.



The Master of Business Analytics requires the successful completion of 12 subjects (72 credit points).

Foundation subjects (6 credit points each):

  • Accounting and Financial Management
  • Organisational Behaviour and Management
  • Principles of Marketing Management
  • Operations Management

Core subjects (6 credit points each):

  • Essential Elements for Business Analytics
  • Techniques and Tools for Business Analytics
  • Business Analytics for Economic and Market Environments
  • Business Analytics for Services and Operations
  • Advanced Business Analytics

Capstone subject (6 credit points):

  • Business Analytics Research Capstone

Elective subjects:

Students complete 12 credit points of 900 level elective subjects from subjects offered from the Sydney Business School within the Faculty of Business and Law.
