Application Requirements

Applicants should have at least five GCSEs at grade C or above, including English language, mathematics and a science subject. Applicants who have not studied a science subject at GCSE may be required to take a science foundation course at York. Applicants should also have a minimum of two A-levels or equivalent, including a science subject. Applicants who do not have two A-levels may be considered for the Foundation Year in Physics. The Foundation Year is designed to give students who do not have the required qualifications for the BSc (Hons) in Physics the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in science and mathematics.
