There are lots of outdoor activities such as hiking at Cooper’s Rock a 15-minute drive from Morgantown down I-68. There are also local events like Chocolate Lover’s Day in the Spring, the Jazz and Wine Festival and Hops on the Mon in the Fall and other local events. There are Arts Walks along High St. about once every month. As well as a Handcrafted Cooperative that hosts artists from the Morgantown area and is a great place to buy gifts. WVU football and basketball are also popular game-day events. Pittsburgh is also an hour and 30 minute drive. Washington D.C. is longer at about 3 hours. (add more things here.)
