Financial Support to the Students of NER for Higher Professional Courses(NEC merit scholarship) 2022 is offered for Bachelors, Masters, PhD, Diploma degree in the field of All subjects. This scholarship is provided by North Eastern Council and the value of this scholarship is Partial Funding, Academic allowance/Stipend . This scholarship is open for: Open only for Indians.

The scholarship is open only to a student who is a permanent resident of any of the North Eastern States. For candidates belonging to Academic Year 2020-21 and onwards, the scholarship under this scheme shall be disbursed only through National Scholarship Portal (NSP). Once selected, the scholarship shall be available to a selected student for the prescribed duration of a course subject to fulfilment of renewal conditions. Extension of scholarship beyond the prescribed period of study will not be entertained. A student shall only be considered for a scholarship in the year of commencement of his/her course. For the subsequent years, of course, the only renewal will be allowed. The student must fulfil the eligibility criteria in the previous qualifying examination for consideration of the scholarship.
