PhD in biomedical engineering

This PhD project will address the clinical problems associated with errors in the measurement of blood and, in particular, measurements from a blood gas analyser./nIn this PhD project, you will collect experimental data describing the changes in blood due to pre-analytical errors and build mathematical models to describe these changes./nThis work can have real clinical impact, potentially resulting in digital software solutions for identifying, and compensating for errors./nThe work will be in collaboration with Roche Diagnostics International, a leading manufacturer of blood gas analyzers, and experimental work will be performed in their international laboratories./nThe PhD will be within the respiratory and critical care group (rcare) at the Department of Health Science and Technology https://vbn.aau.dk/da/organisations/respiratory-and-critical-care-r-care./nThe PhD stipend is available for a period of 3 years starting 1.
