Doctoral Researcher in quantum computing and algorithms at Aalto University School of Electrical Engineering, Micro and Quantum Systems (MQS) research group, Electronics and Nanoengineering department./nPrimary task: conduct research into quantum algorithms and information and earn your PhD degree. /nExpected to take an active role in advancing the research projects of the MQS group. /nRecent research focuses: theory and applications of variational quantum algorithms and quantum machine learning. /nActivity in quantum optics is mentioned as a definite advantage. /nTheoretical research into capabilities of quantum computing and quantum advantage, especially in relation to cryptography, is a prospective topic. /nThe exact research topics can be adjusted within the limits set by current projects according to the interests of the applicant. /nIn addition to research, you will be expected to take courses as part of your PhD degree and participate in the teaching activities of the research group. /nPrimary workplace: Otaniemi, Espoo.
