- Research areas include literary and cultural theory, modernism, postmodernism, contemporary literature, global Anglophone studies, American and British literatures, ethnic literatures, media and performance studies, visual culture, rhetoric, cultural history, digital humanities, gender and sexuality studies, race and diaspora studies, and science, technology, and society (STS) approaches to literature and culture.
- The PhD normally takes 5–6 years of full-time study.
