- Each student forms a Special Committee of three faculty members who guide their academic work, course selection, examinations, and dissertation progress.
- Students undergo: the 2nd Year Review at the start of the third term; the A Exam at the end of the sixth term; submission of a dissertation prospectus within four months of the A Exam; and the B Exam before the final dissertation.
- The program requires a minimum of six registered full-time semesters (three years), with a maximum of 14 registered semesters (seven years) to complete all degree requirements.
