PhD focuses on airborne noise source localization in urban environments, enabling quiet air mobility./nThe researcher will work on modelling relevant propagation effects, designing localization strategies robust to urban acoustics, and validating these techniques using state-of-the-art experimental equipment such as microphone arrays and advanced acoustic measurement systems./nEmbedded in a multidisciplinary research group at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, Delft, Netherlands./nMain objectives include: develop source localization algorithms robust to multipath propagation and refraction; investigate influence of urban geometry and atmospheric flow on localization methods; incorporate propagation and scattering models; validate approaches through controlled experiments.
