PhD in Architecture

PhD position at TU Delft (Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences) in Delft, Netherlands. Focus on implementing a solution based on structural glass to strengthen masonry (Dutch heritage) buildings in a non-invasive and reversible manner. Project involves advancing the design of structural glass windows, performing non-linear computational analyses, establishing industry partnerships, conducting small experiments and/or acquiring funding for larger experiments, and collaborating with national and international partners and government institutions. The position is linked to TU Delft's work on building damage due to quasi-static and dynamic ground movements and has societal relevance.
