Overview
PhD position at TU Delft (Delft University of Technology) within the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences, Geoscience & Remote Sensing department. The project focuses on observational investigation of clouds-circulation coupling to identify processes missing or poorly represented in current climate models and theory. You will work with data from multiple satellites measuring clouds, rain and the atmospheric state, use model outputs to help fill gaps, and advance theories of how clouds and circulations interact over the tropical oceans. The position includes contribution to a department field campaign focused on low clouds (drone-based and remote-sensing observations during 2 field campaigns; total time commitment at the most three months). Location: Delft, Netherlands.
