PhD in Synthetic Aperture Radar (Sar)

PhD position (FluxSAR) to develop methods for estimating heat fluxes and ocean-atmosphere temperature differences from Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery using machine learning and large datasets./nThe project aims to produce a validated FluxSAR product with quantified estimation uncertainties and demonstrate its use (e.g., assimilation in numerical weather models and case studies)./nThe candidate will work alongside experts in oceanography, atmosphere and remote sensing within the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences at TU Delft in Delft, Netherlands.
